Themed Weekends

 It’s literally out of this world.  Starting at 10:00 am come build and decorate your rocket. At 12:00 pm we will launch all rockets. Judging for best decorated rocket will be just prior to launch. Top three winners get a free ice cream from the activities building by pool. Make sure you dress the part! show up as an alien or astronaut or maybe a planet. It’s up to you, the sky’s the limit. At dusk come join us for a space movie and a bon fire.

Starting at 10:00 am join us on a scavenger hunt throughout the park. After that come to the activities center where you can build your own stuff a bear creature. Dress the part as your favorite animal or reptile. Prizes for the best dressed.

Drive down candy cane Lane as you enter the park and enjoy 20,000 lights, inflatable galore. Decorate your site and vote for your favorite site. Show off that ugly Christmas sweater or T-shirt.  At noon on Saturday Santa and Mrs. Claus  are making a special trip to the campground and will tour the campground.  They will then be available at the front lodge, sit on Santa’s lap and whisper what you want for Christmas.

Let’s start our day with a treasure hunt down by the beach at 9:00 am to 10am, this is for the young pirates 12yrs of age and under. Then at 10:30 am come on down to the beach to cheer on your favorite homemade built cardboard pirate ship. Cardboard ship can is to be made from cardboard only.  Duct tape can be used but may not cover more then than 50% of boat.  You will race an obstacle course until the last ship is floating. Trophies for longest floating ship and best decorated ship.

Show up in your favorite Hawaiian shirt or grass skirt. Starting at 10:00 am we will start the games, partake in: Hula Hoop contest, the longest Hula Hooper wins! or try your hand at Limbo, how low can you go? or try pass the coconut, this is for four players where you pass the coconut by only using your chin and your chest. The fastest four wins a sudden death. Kiss the coconut. Start at your belly button and move it up to your lips by using your body and not your hands. Fastest couple wins!

Don’t get too scared when you roll into Indian Shore and drive down our haunted road. On Saturday come over to the store and buy your pumpkin for our best carved pumpkin contest. Or try a round at pumpkin bowling. Don’t forget to decorate your site! Be sure to walk through the park and enjoy all the other sites that have been decorated and vote for the best decorated site. Sliced caramel apples and apple pie nachos will be for sale at the activity building. Trick or treat starts at 4:00 pm and lasts until 6:00 pm.  Join us at 8pm for a an outdoor kid friendly Halloween movie and popcorn as long as weather allows.
